As part of a year-long project, Avalon hosted several researchers from Education ReImagined.  This is the first of several takeaways sharing what they learned from Avalon's powerful model.

FREE Avalon Parent Education Workshop

May 21st, 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

Parents & Caregivers ONLY

As parents and caregivers, we are our children's first and most important sexuality educators - through our words, actions, and even our silences. Many of us want to be more intentional in how we share our values, set expectations, and keep communication open.

In this interactive workshop, you’ll explore adolescent development, learn practical tools for talking about sexuality, and build the skills to become an “askable adult” - someone young people trust for honest, supportive conversations. It's easier than you think - and it all starts with showing up!

Please join us! You have a chance to buy cool art, connect with Avalon staff and new families, and get a bite to eat.  Also hear about the state of the school in our annual meeting. Finally - the annual meeting kicks off our board election! See our board page for more information.

The Avalon School Board Election will begin at the Annual Meeting on May 8th and be open online through May 15th, 2025.

Avalon is growing!

In the 2025-2026 school year, Avalon will add a new advisory to our high school program and an additional 5,000 square feet!

‍

To support our expansion project - and to have a little fun! -  we are hosting a once-a-year fundraising event.

‍

Join us for a fun Carnival-themed night at Avalon - games, food, raffles, and good company - next Thursday, February 6th. 

‍

We’ll have a student-run art fair starting at 4:00, carnival games kicking off at 5:00, and the evening will culminate with our raffle drawings at 6:30.
