Although no stranger to project based schools Ray is new to Avalon in 2008. Ray previously worked at the High School for Recording Arts in St. Paul and before that with Minneapolis Public Schools. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Warwick University in England and originally went into a career in marketing and advertising. Ray later switched to teaching earning his license (Social Studies) and Masters from the University of St. Thomas, MN.
Ray freely admits that his interests outside of work changed dramatically when his son Shane was born but he still gets to enjoy two of his three main passions, travel and soccer, albeit on a more limited scale. Ray is excited to be an advisor at Avalon School and be a part of such a wonderful community.
