Laura is in her third year out of college teaching math. She teaches young minds Algebra, Geometry, Algebra 2, Advanced Topics (Probability, Statistics, and Trigonometry), and Pre-Calculus. She is also crazy enough to be the coordinator for the student yearbook.
Laura graduated in May of 2007 from The University of Iowa with a BA in Math and Secondary Education. Eastern Iowa was always her home until she moved up to the Twin Cities after graduation. She currently lives in the burbs with her husband.
Besides lesson planning, project proposals, teaching class, reading and replying to e-mail, and always reminding students to do their homework, Laura enjoys spending time with her husband and family, watching the Twins, Bears, and her Hawkeyes, trying to learn how to cook, and photography. She really enjoys traveling, but wants to do much more of it, as she hasn’t quite made her way across any oceans yet.
