The Project Process in 17 Easy Steps

  1. Explore a topic for no more than five hours.
  2. Fill out brainstorm sheet.
  3. Meet with advisor.
  4. Check with parents and get a signature.
  5. Write a proposal on Project Foundry.
  6. Write a rubric.
  7. Schedule a proposal meeting.
  8. Propose with two advisors.
  9. Post your deadlines on the main calendar, at your desk, in your planner, and at home.
  10. Begin work on your project.
  11. Log your hours (especially homework)
  12. Check in with advisors and experts to discuss progress and research.
  13. Complete all of your deadlines (including a deliverable).
  14. Write a reflection.
  15. Revise your reflection after getting advisor feedback.
  16. Schedule a finalization meeting with the same two advisors with whom you proposed.
  17. Finalize project, earn credit, complete standards, and be happy.
