Avalon School is aware that Minneapolis Public Schools is in lockdown today. Please note that Avalon is not in lockdown today, has received no threats, and are operating safely as usual.

Talented Senior Class!

The Avalon senior class of 2010 numbers only 33, but what they lack in numbers, they make up for in talent! We are proud to announce that the crew includes four students who were recognized as National Merit Scholars of note. We have one Commended Scholar, one Semi-finalist, and two Finalists! Congratuations to Sophia, Luke, Matt, and Lee.

All the seniors at Avalon undertake rigorous senior projects which culminate with public presentations. The presentations are currently being scheduled for mid to late May. We will post the dates and topics to our website soon. Come check out the work these seniors are doing.

On Saturday, March 13, at 10:30 am, we will be holding an open house at Avalon. This is your chance to come in and learn about our unique program. Staff will be on hand to give an overview about our school as well as to take you on a tour and to answer any questions you may have.

Enrollment for 2010-2011 is moving along. We still have a few openings in every grade. If you are interested in your student becoming an ‘Avalonian’ please visit our enrollment page to schedule a visit and download application materials.
