Realtors/Space update
Joe Hughes from CBRE joined us for a report and discussion re: new space for Avalon. Our landlord, Scott, has expressed interest in our staying. The architect working with us indicated that 20,000 square feet is a sensible size for us. We will continue to look at promising properties and talk further with Scott about what our needs are. Because of the financial gyrations of the legislature and the governor with respect to school funding, we’ve decided to lease instead of buy.

Treasurer’s Report
Because of the governor’s unallotment of 27% of our state aid, we continue to dig into our cash balance. C/Ds begin to mature at the beginning of May and that may help us. We will get to the end of the year. We begin to get the unallotment money paid back to us in August (hopefully). Lunch program is still a problem–students order lunch, then don’t eat, costing us dollars.
