Our first group of seniors graduated in 2004. Since then we have sent eighth more senior classes out into the world. They continue to get into colleges and universities around the state, nation, and world. The Avalon Senior Class of 2004 is now moving out of college and into the world of work! We are excited to hear their stories as they report back about the things they are doing.

The students from the Avalon Class of 2011 were accepted to the following schools:

Evergreen, Hamline, St. Kate’s, U of M/Twin Cities, U of M-Morris/, Macalester College, Illinois Wesleyan, University of Iowa, University of Wisconsin/Madison, and Prescott College

Words from Avalon Alumni:

“It’s hard to believe that 4 years have already passed. I’ve successfully graduated from the University of St. Thomas this May with a B.A in Communications. Now I work at Target’s corporate office in downtown Minneapolis as a Communication Specialist. It has only been 2 months since I started full-time but I’ve already learned a great deal about the company and its business. Although I’m finding that work-life is completely different from student-life, I am excited about this new stage in life.

As I look back at my educational background, I cannot help but to emphasize the experiences I had at Avalon. The project-based learning has really taught me to organize my time and to prioritize my workload. Although I did not recognize at the time, I can now clearly identify the benefits and the rewards I’ve obtained from Avalon.” Aya, Avalon Class of 2004

Avalon taught me the importance of putting my education in my own hands–a lifelong skill that has benefitted me at every step of my education and career! Thank you Avalon!  Morgan, Avalon Class of 2004

I was a student at Avalon, graduating class of 2005. I could not have asked for more of my instructors, academic content, or community. Avalon was were I blossomed into who I am, built the foundation I needed for college, my professional career, and now my graduate studies.  For those who are ready to take their education into their own hands and learn in a way that works for them, there is no place better. Graduate, Avalon Class of 2005

I was part of the first class of graduating seniors from Avalon School, back before they added the middle school. Attending Avalon was an amazing, life-changing experience. I was able to enjoy learning for the first time because of the freedom to focus on my passions. I felt safe and accepted socially, and I knew that advisors cared about my success. I am now two years out of college with my own teaching license, and working as an artist.   Graduate, Avalon Class of 2004
