Tuesday, April 10th, Avalon has a busy night!
At 6, we have our monthly board meeting. The agenda is here!
At 7, we have our Enrollment Night for families new to Avalon. The event will last an hour — we’ll get through all the paperwork we can while also welcoming you to our lovely school.
Also at 7, our parents group — the Avalon Parents Association (APA) — will be meeting. This week’s topic is to be determined. Come meet with Avalon parents and talk about what’s going on at school!
So, you can see — things are pretty action-packed around here!
Also, another note: state testing is on its way: grades 7-8 (April 17, 24-27), grade 9 (April 17), and grades 10-11 (April 17-18). As well, high school students in or who have recently passed Biology will take the state test in science. Lastly, we will also have our independent standardized assessment — the NWEA MAP test in math and reading. A good night’s sleep, a decent breakfast, and a good attitude — I think Ben Franklin said it made people do good work!
